It started as a whimsical commentary on fatherhood and the "World's Greatest Dad" concept. Think about it, if there can be only one true greatest dad in the world, then some tycoon who's enrolled his kid in the Pony-of-the-Month Club has us all beat. Hence, WGD's original tagline: "Only One Dad Can Be Best, Here's to the Rest."
But Dudism can bless us all, not just male progenitors. After all, no one can be on 24/7. The Grind will actually accomplish its mission if one remains beneath it indefinitely. And everybody's social scroll finger needs a rest now and then. So, over time, I've evolved and expanded the concept to grant blanket permission for all humans to Go Dud.
How? Shun the socials. You can muster a day at least. Close that laptop. Use both hands if necessary; it will resist. Slack off, but slack smart.
